The on-device model

Download the model and grammar checks and translation run entirely on your Mac, even offline. Nothing you write leaves it.

With the On-device plan (or Pro), open Settings › Models and download the model. From then on, grammar checks and writing in your language run on your Mac, also without an internet connection. The compose panel shows On this Mac while it does.

• On-device is a one-time purchase that works on up to three Macs; remove a Mac from your account page to free its place.
• Pro includes it too, plus the cloud features: clarity suggestions, rewrites, tone and cloud translation.
• A free trial includes the model while it lasts.
