⌥ twice — rewrite, translate, or write in your language

One shortcut for everything. With text selected it rewrites; with nothing selected it turns what you write in your language into English.

With text selected: rewrite

Select a sentence or a paragraph and press ⌥ twice. The rewrite panel opens next to it:

• Improve fixes and smooths it; Rephrase says it another way.
• Tone makes it formal, casual, friendly, confident, shorter or clearer.
• Translate turns it into another language; Ask AI… takes your own instruction.

Press Tab or Replace to put the result in place of your selection, or Copy it.

With nothing selected: write in your language

Press ⌥ twice where your cursor is and write what you mean in your own language. The English appears as you type. Press Return and it is inserted at the cursor. Your clipboard is left as it was.
