Privacy and your data

What is sent when you use cloud features, what is never kept, and how to delete your account and everything with it.

• Spelling and typo fixes run on your Mac and send nothing.
• Cloud checks, rewrites and translation send only the paragraph you just finished, or the text you selected. It is checked and discarded: not stored, not logged, not used to train models.
• With the on-device model, checks and translation never leave your Mac.
• WriteNative reads only the field you are typing in, never password fields, never apps it is told to leave alone.

Delete your account

Delete it from your account page or from Settings in the Mac app. Your email, sessions, Macs, dictionary and plan records are removed (except what we must keep for tax), and backups are gone within 30 days. The full details are in the privacy policy.
