Hi! Could you circle back on the Q3 numbers by EOD? Happy to jump on a call if that’s easier.
An email from a client, a Slack message from your manager: select the English someone sent you and press ⌥ twice. Text you are reading (not typing) opens on Explain:
- Labels at the top: what the message is (a request, a question, news), how it sounds, and whether it needs a reply.
- The explanation, in your first language: what they want, how it comes across, and what idioms and abbreviations mean ("circle back", "EOD").
- Ways to reply, up to three, written in your language. Click one and WriteNative writes the English reply. Copy it, or Replace when the text you selected is in a field you can edit.
Text selected in a field you are writing in opens the rewrite panel instead; Explain is one of its chips there.
In your first language
Explanations are in your first language, whatever language WriteNative's menus are in: the card's reasons, how a message reads, and Explain. Set it in Settings › Writing style. Until you do, WriteNative guesses it from your Mac's languages or your input methods (Pinyin means Chinese).
